Wire Place Card Holders
These elegant place card holders are fun to make and budget friendly. Use at your reception or bridal shower. Change the height to make stylish table number holders and menu cards too.
- Metallic Floral Wire - 12 guage (12 inches)
- Small Silk Flower - approximately 1.5 to 2.5-inches wide (1 )
- Ribbon - as desired
- Wire Cutters
- Needle Nose Pliers
- Ruler
- Hot Glue Gun
- Thick Magic Marker - For wire bending purposes only
Begin by cutting a 12-inch piece of wire with the wire cutters. (This will make a 3-inch high place card holder.) Bend one end of the wire twice around the top of a thick magic marker.
Bend down the wire away from the circle with needle nose pliers and again about 2.5-inches down as shown. (Note: Needle nose pliers create nice 90 degree angles.)
Using your hands, gently wrap the base into an outward spiral until you run out of wire (see photo). Be careful not to bend the top portion of the place card as you are doing this.
When finished, simply stand the place card up and press down on the base with your hands to make it level. Straighten the top vertically if needed.
Tie a bow of ribbon just under the top loops. Then add a silk flower to the bottom using a drop or two of hot glue.
