Votive Cup Décor

Classic glass votive cups make versatile and affordable table decorations for weddings, bridal showers, and anniversary parties. Gather them up after the celebration and use them again at other events or in your home.

For this project, we have decorated several cups in a number of elegant ways using ribbon, flowers, and beads.

Materials and Tools:

• Glass Votive Cups: Clear
• Satin Ribbon: Any color, any width.
• Rose Petals: Any color.
• Votive Candles: Any color, any scent.
• Ribbon Roses: Any color, any size.
• Satin Leaves: White, green, etc.
• Pearl Chains: Any color.
• Sharp Scissors
• Hot Glue Gun

Number five size ivory satin ribbon decorates this votive cup. Wrap the ribbon around the cup and secure the seam with hot glue. Glue also adheres the separate satin bow attached to the front. Simply elegant.

A faux pearl strand wraps around the cup on the left several times and is secured with hot glue at the back. The cup on the right uses just a single strand of pearls on satin ribbon.

Mix and match these votive cups for a romantic garden themed table. We used faux flowers and added water for a lifelike effect on the left cup. Leaves were hot glued to the other cup and a length of ribbon was tied around them. Customize the flowers, leaves and ribbon to compliment your bridal colors.

Wide silver ribbon (secured with hot glue in the back) adds a more contemporary feel to these cups. Ribbon roses and a faux acrylic jewel round out the look.

For this table setting we left the cups plain and surrounded them with faux silk rose petals. This creates an elegant "runner" down the center of a long table. For this look, use approximately 200 rose petals (2 bags) for every 3 feet of "runner".

Note: For a round table, gather the petals and candles in the center of the table.
