Materials and Tools:
  • Mint Julep Vase - 4" tall (1)
  • Silk Roses - Any Color (3)
  • Votive Cups - Clear (6)
  • Votive Candles - White (6)
  • Faux Rose Petals - Any color (50)
  • Satin Ribbon - Size #5 (38 inches)
  • Sharp Scissors
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Wire Cutters
  • Green Moss
  • Florist Foam
  • Measuring Tape or Ruler
Step 1. Cut the Roses

Using wire cutters, cut each rose approximately 4" from the flower head. Remove any stem leaves and set aside.

Step 2. Decorate the Cup

Cut a section of the florist foam and hot glue it to the inside of the vase. Cut off any extra foam so that the foam is level with the top of the vase. Cut a 38" length of satin ribbon and tie it around the top of the julep vase, making a tight bow. Push the ribbon to the top of the vase and put a small drop of hot glue underneath the center of the bow to secure it.

Step 3. Place the Moss

Dribble some hot glue onto the top of the foam, then push green moss onto it. Hold until dry.

Step 4. Place the Leaves

Hot-glue six rose leaves to the center of the moss.

Step 5. Place the Flowers

Push the three roses into the top of the moss and through the foam until they touch the bottom of the vase.

Step 6. Finish Up.

Put the finished vase in the center of the table and place six votive candles around it approximately 6" from the vase. Sprinkle the faux rose petals around the votives and light the candles.
